Belle Hubble Allen

Belle Hubble Allen of Peachtree City, Ga., formerly of Fredericksburg, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at the age of 92.

Belle was born in Ellijay, Ga. She was proud of her Southern roots and made everyone feel warmly accepted with her Southern charm. Belle was a loving mother and wife who enjoyed music, reading, telling stories of her childhood, drawing and painting.

She found great comfort in her church homes, Fredericksburg Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Peachtree City. Serving in the Women's Army Air Corps during World War II was one of her proudest accomplishments.

She was preceded in death by husbands Clarence Hubble and Robert Allen; and son Steven C. Hubble. Survivors include her daughter, Carol King and husband Bill of Fredericksburg, son Gary Hubble and his wife, Cathy of Peachtree City; and daughter-in-law Rhonda Givens of Fernandina Beach, Fla.; grandchildren Allison Herod and her husband, Eric of Fredericksburg, Steven L. Hubble of Fredericksburg, Leslie Hubble and her husband, Heath of Loganville, Ga., Neil Hubble and his wife, Kelly of Atlanta, Ga., and Laura King of Fredericksburg; and three great-grandchildren, Emily, Ethan and Elise. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins and step-family members.

A service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at Fredericksburg Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Belle's memory to Fredericksburg Baptist Church, 1019 Princess Anne St., Fredericksburg, VA 22401.
