On Sept. 25, the research arm of the Susan B. Anthony List released a study by a well-credentialed anti-abortion writer, Charles Donovan, which predicted that "Obamacare's annual net increase in insured abortions that are either fully publicly funded through Medicaid or heavily subsidized through the exchanges could be as high as 71,000 to 111,500."
The very same day, 72 members of Congress, led by Rep. Joe Pitts, wrote a letter to Speaker Boehner asking him to incorporate "the Health Care Conscience Rights Act, along with a cessation of federal dollars for abortions into the continuing resolution or on legislation addressing the debt ceiling."
Remember the deal Obama made with former Rep. Bart Stupak back in 2010 to get him and some holdout "pro-life" Democrats to vote for Obamacare in the first place? Wasn't the whole point of that Stupak deal to make sure Obamacare would restrict our federal tax dollars from paying for abortions?
Apparently, more needs to be done to make sure Obamacare does not provide a funnel for our federal tax dollars to pay for any abortions.
