Hobart L. Branham

Hobart Leeburn Branham, 75, of Millboro died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, at his residence.

He was born Feb. 2, 1938, in Penny, Ky., to the late Shirley and Martha Dixie Strouth Branham. He served in the U.S. Army and was a mechanic for Dominion Power.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Fletcher Branham.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia "Peach" Branham of Millboro; daughter Nena Heflin and husband Mike of Woodford; son Keith Branham of Spotsylvania County; two sisters, Tempa Elkins of Clintwood and Ina Hardesty and husband Sonny of King George County; three brothers, Lester Branham of Tennessee, Whetsel Branham of Harriman, Tenn., and Seaburn Branham and wife Carol of King George; a grandson, Bruce Heflin of Woodford; a number of nieces and nephews; and special friends Lester and Karen Boyer of Millboro.

A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, with the Rev. John Haney officiating. Interment will follow in Windy Cove Cemetery, Millboro. Pallbearers will be Chris Rexrode, John Lockridge, Kevin Elkins, Larry Branham, Michael Branham and Sidney Beach. The family will receive friends from noon until the time of the service on Sunday at Nicely Funeral Home.
