A few weeks ago I was reviewing my granddaughter's federal student loans. The interest rates were 6.8 percent and 8.2 percent. I thought it a good idea to seek consolidation at a lower rate. I went online and called banks to consider options.
At one point I was speaking with a very gracious woman, at a large bank. She basically told me that whereas, in the past, they could accomplish the consolidation, they are now prohibited, by federal law and put in place by the White House, to consolidate any federal student loans.
I hope you college students who voted for this president understand how he has "helped" you.
