Evelyn Chenault Morrow died Friday, Jan. 17, 2014.
Evelyn was born Dec. 3, 1922, in King William, the daughter of McCauley and Eula Wilt Chenault of Aylett.
In 1959, she moved with her husband, Richard "Dick" Morrow, to their dairy farm in Spotsylvania County. She taught in Spotsylvania until her retirement.
Evelyn and Dick then moved to Cuckoo in Louisa in 1976. She was a deacon at Mineral Baptist Church.
In 2009 Evelyn moved to Dogwood Village in Orange, where she was lovingly cared for until her death.
She is survived by her brother, H. Lewis Chenault (Lucky); sisters Marie Jeter (Bob) and Virginia Chenault; two daughters, Mederise Curry (Steve) of Clearwater, Fla., and Theresa Decatur (Curtis) of Louisa; two grandsons, Joe and Don Curry; three step-grandsons, Alan, David and Steve Decatur; and one step-great-granddaughter, Carolyn Decatur.
Evelyn's family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, at Woodward Funeral Home, 200 Fredericksburg Ave., Louisa, VA 23093. The service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 20, at the funeral home chapel, with interment in Hillcrest Cemetery, Louisa.
