Virginia Cade-Edwards

Virginia Emma Cade-Edwards of Fredericksburg departed her temporal life on Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, after an illness.

Virginia was born and raised in Palmyra. She worked for a few years in Cismont and later moved to Fredericksburg to join the work force. There she met Clifford Bama Cade. They were married, and there were no children from this marriage. She worked a few years at General Washington Inn in Fredericksburg. She became one of Jehovah's Witnesses and served for many years, becoming a pioneer. A few years after Clifford's death, she married Eugene Edwards, and there were no children from this marriage.

Virginia was predeceased by her first husband; mother Alma Anderson; stepfather Ivanhoe Johnson; three sisters; five brothers; and son Thomas Anderson.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene Edwards; grandson Gregory Anderson of Seattle; three sisters, Eileen Creasy of Palmyra, Jean Payne (Richard) of Richmond and Elnora Rose of Spotsylvania County; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Virginia will forever be remembered for the love she had for Jehovah, her family and friends.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 28, at A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home, with a viewing for one hour prior to the service.
