Lester Day Jr.

Lester William Day Jr., 72, of Morgantown, W.Va., passed away on March 4, 2014, at his home.

Mr. Day was born on May 15, 1941, in Fredericksburg to the late Lester William Day Sr. and Margaret Taylor Noblin. He retired as a salesman after many years of hard work and dedication. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and loved playing baseball, coaching softball and spending time with his girls.

He is survived by his daughters, Rebecca Day and companion Mark Roach of Virginia, Elizabeth and Clint Harris of Virginia, Emily Dulaney (widow of Robert) of Salem; grandchildren Tabitha and Shawn Bullock, Kristina and David Aubin, Tanya, Alyssa and Brianna Roach, Timothy Bostic, Aeryn, Katie, Daryl and Spencer Harris, Thomas Dulaney and Madison Dulaney; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Judy and Allen Collins, Debra Lynn Noblin and companion Larry Brooks and Pamela and Tony Skrodelis; and brothers John Noblin Jr. and wife Debbie and Robert Noblin and wife Karen. Ellen Noblin and several other nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Lee "Sissy" Noblin, and stepfather John Noblin Sr.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 7, at Covenant Funeral Service, 4801 Jefferson Davis Highway, Fredericksburg, VA 22408. Interment will be at Quantico National Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Stafford County Parks and Recreation, Box 339, Stafford, VA 22555.
