Wanda Lee Roberson

Wanda Lee Roberson, 60, of Boynton Beach, Fla., died Wednesday, March 12, 2014. Her absence will be felt by all who knew her.

Wanda was born July 14, 1953, in Fredericksburg, to the late James Ronald Curtis Sr. and Edna Garrett. She graduated from James Monroe High School and immediately began a stellar career in administration and, most recently, in medical administration at Sheridan Healthcare of Sunrise, Fla.

Wanda shared her final years with her beloved Glenn Barnard, with whom she lived life to the fullest.

Wanda is survived by her daughter, Jessica Shihadeh, of Lake Worth, Fla.; her three beautiful granddaughters, Mariah, Alissa and Brianna; and her handsome grandson, Damian. She is also survived by her brothers, James Ronald Curtis Jr. of Fredericksburg, Craig Curtis of Redlands, Calif., and David Curtis of Fredericksburg; and her sisters, Donna Rowley and Debbie Scruggs, both of Fredericksburg.

While flowers and other outpourings of affection for Wanda are appreciated, Wanda's family encourages everyone to join the fight against cancer with contributions to the American Cancer Society and other organizations that advance the detection and cure of cancer.

A viewing will be held at 10 a.m. on Sunday, March 16, at Del Largo Chapel in Lake Worth. Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 17, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery in West Palm Beach, Fla.
