Waller J. Townsley Jr.

Waller James "Jim" Townsley Jr., 58, of Fredericksburg died unexpectedly Thursday, March 20, 2014, at Mary Washington Hospital.

Jim was employed as vice president for convenience store sales at Produce Source Partners in Ashland. He experienced many years in the food distribution industry, which afforded him the opportunity of making long-lasting friendships. Jim loved entertaining friends and family at his home; he loved to cook and his door was always open to those in need. He was an avid fan of classic movies.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Waller J. "Jack" and Betty Townsley.

Survivors include his wife, Karen S. Townsley; his children, Allison Rae Townsley of Charleston, S.C., and James Scott Townsley of Fredericksburg; sisters Virginia Townsley Hall and her husband, Raymond, and Frances Townsley Riddle and her husband, Tom; stepchildren Philip J. Huss Jr., David Winegardner, Cherie Winegardner and Carrie Campbell; six stepgrandchildren; nephews Ray Hall of Richmond and Justin Riddle of King George County; and his niece, Heather Hall of Fredericksburg.

He is also survived by his loving friend Kylene Fleming; and his beloved dogs, Kaci and Gypsy.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
