Richard V. Beach

Richard Vernon Beach, affectionately known to so many as "Uncle Dick," 77, of Colonial Beach went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Gene and Floyd; and a sister, Alice Wright.

Richard is survived by his niece, Kim Jones and her husband, Wes; nephew Randall Wright and his fiancee, Paige Collier; great-nieces Brittany Jones and Karsen Wright, great-nephews Aaron Jones and Owen Wright; and great-great- niece Harmony Roy, all of Colonial Beach; sisters Eleanor Jones of Falls Church, Lavinia Lambert and Evelyn Bullock of Great Falls, Alma Updike of Herndon, Barbara Bilbow of Sterling and Nancy Ellen of Richmond; as well as many other nieces, nephews and special friends.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, April 14, at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden St., Herndon, VA 20170, where a funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at the Smith Chapel Cemetery in Great Falls.
