Lauretta M. Kimble

Lauretta Mae Coyle-Haberly Kimble, 99, of Dogwood Village in Orange County, born Jan. 23, 1915, went home to the Lord on Wednesday, March 19, 2014.

She was born in Phillip, S.D., to William Coyle and Lucy Bronson Coyle. She raised five children, Rosemary Knuycky (deceased), Richard, Edward and Susan Haberly and Rita Kimble, and, with the help of Leon and Rita Kimble, also raised five grandchildren, Boni Cook, Coyla Williams, Allen and Tony Beavers and David Beavers (deceased).

She had five children, 18 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren. She worked hard all her life for her family.

She loved sewing, making quilts and blankets and crafts. She started the Quilting and Crafts Room at Madonna House in Fredericksburg, making quilts and blankets for Project Linus. Rita Kimble continues that tradition.

Lauretta volunteered at Blossom & Bloom in Leesburg and at Loudoun County Elementary School.

The family is forever grateful to Leon and Rita Kimble for watching over her for more than 30 years.

The family's sincere gratitude goes out to the Dogwood Village staff and Dr. Merrick, as well as to Rapidan Hospice for the care of their mother in her final years.

In her memory, read Revelation 21:4.
