Linda D. Pisenti

Linda Delahay Pisenti, 66, of Fredericksburg passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014, at Mike Conley Hospice House in Clermont, Fla.

Mrs. Pisenti was a native of Missouri. She was a graduate of Oklahoma State University. In 1969, she married David W. Pisenti and in 1973, they moved to Fredericksburg. She was a teacher for several years in the Fredericksburg area. In 1985, she became co-owner of Jabberwocky Children's Book & Toys with her dear friend Mona Albertine. For the past eight years she served as a court appointed special advocate for the Fredericksburg area.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, David W. Pisenti; three children, Matthew Pisenti and his wife, Jessica, of Roanoke, Jill Porter and her husband, John, of Richmond and Karie Pisenti of Houston; six grandchildren, Logan, McKenzie, David, Grace, Mark and Anna; her father, Ed Delahay and his wife, Roseland; her brother, David Delahay and his wife, Charlotte, all of Bartlesville, Okla.; her sister, Leslie McKinzie of Clermont, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Meloy Delahay.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 18, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.

A service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 19, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
