Miriam C. Vanaver

Miriam Coenson Vanaver, 86, formerly of Fredericksburg, died Monday, April 15, 2014, in Miami, Fla.

She was born Oct. 30, 1927, to Dorothy Feldman and Lewis Coenson in Philadelphia. She will be buried beside the love of her life and husband of 60 years, P.S. "Stan" Vanaver, in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Her family will celebrate her life in a private graveside service on May 11, 2014.

She is survived by three daughters, Wendy and husband Frank Brown of King William County, Elissa Vanaver and Roman Lyskowski of Coral Gables, Fla., and Margie and Ed Brown of Farnham; grandsons Logan Harte of Richmond, David Lyskowski of Fort Myers, Fla., and U.S. Army Sgt. Brian Harte and wife Jacquelyn of Fort Bliss, Texas; and a great-granddaughter, Emily Harte.

The family deeply appreciates the kind expressions from friends and requests that remembrances in her honor go to Beth Shalom Temple, 805 Lyons Blvd., Fredericksburg, VA 22406.
