Ronald W. House

Ronald William House, 66, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at his home in Warrenton after a long battle with cancer.

He was born in Alexandria to the late James and Helen Widdifield House.

Ron attended Francis C. Hammond High School and enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. He made his career as a chartered financial consultant and insurance representative at Lighthouse Financial Group while working in the Warrenton area. He was a faithful member of McLean Bible Church, Manassas Campus.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis House of Warrenton; his brother Steve House and partner Ron Stinson of Fredericksburg; his sister, Carolyn Miller of Fredericksburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry House.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at McLean Bible Church, Manassas Campus, 10002 Battleview Parkway, Manassas, VA 20109, with a memorial service immediately following.

While he was growing up, the local Boys Club of Alexandria provided opportunities which Ron would not have otherwise enjoyed. In lieu of flowers, Ron would consider it an honor to have donations made in his name to the Boys and Girls Club of Warrenton, 169 Keith St., Warrenton, VA 20186.
