Elizabeth R. Nichol

Elizabeth R. Nichol, 87, of Rhoadesville went to live with her Lord on Saturday, May 10, 2014.

Elizabeth was a member of Zoar Baptist Church, Locust Grove, with her husband. She was on the Hospitality Committee and sang in the choir. Elizabeth served her country in World War II at Lawson General Amputation Center in Atlanta. Her family was her pride and joy.

She is survived by her beloved husband, James L. Nichol; her children, Willard T. Rose (Inez), William M. Rose (Tina), James A. Rose (widower of Pearl) and Brenda A. Perry (widow of John); 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three stepchildren, Regina Morse (Ed), Elizabeth Kiley (David) and Tony Panos (Elizabeth); and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 19, at Zoar Baptist Church, Locust Grove. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The Rev. Kurt Buchanan will officiate the service.
