Medicaid expansion resistance disappoints

I am very disappointed in the Republican Party in Virginia. Bill Howell has his head stuck in the sand. It is time for him to call it a day.

We need the Medicaid expansion to cover 400,000-plus working poor in Virginia mainly because it is a good thing to do to help adults who are trying to support a family.

A lot of these people have chronic diseases like diabetes, lupus and fibromyalgia, and a trip to a doctor can put them on the right track.

Also, there are people who need some guidance in order to live a healthier lifestyle.

The federal funds are there, so please give these hard workers access to a better life. In the end, it will save the commonwealth of Virginia lots of money by eliminating health care costs.

I worked in Stafford County's Department of Social Services and always felt bad when this group of people did not qualify for medical benefits.

Republicans, please listen--these are individuals who deserve a break. The funds are there. Take them, Virginia!
