Barbara A. Shreders

Barbara was born in 1935 in Greenwich, Conn., the daughter of Ralph and Gertrude Mae Walsh. She was employed for 23 years at CVS Distribution Center in Fredericksburg.

Barbara will forever be remembered for her love of her family, her cats and, of course, the Dallas Cowboys. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to many and will be greatly missed by all. Barbara's family wishes to share with everyone the life lesson they will never forget her saying: "We say see ya is for later, because goodbye is forever."

Surviving are three daughters, Peggy Mayette of Farmington, Maine, Robin Lowman and husband John of Thomasville, N.C., and Kathleen Grey and husband Wayne of Front Royal; two sons, Ed Mayette of Farmington, Maine, and Robert "JR" Grey and wife Julie of Clinton, Tenn.; and grandchildren Ted, Chris, Jay, Katie, Zayna, Makenna, Corey, Dee, Luke, Jessica, Larry, Kevin and Mar; numerous great-grandchildren; and many close friends.

A memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at Omps Funeral Home-Amherst Chapel, Winchester. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to any humane society of your choice.
