Emily G. Voskoyan

Emily Glazman Voskoyan, 38, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Stafford County on Monday, June 2, 2014.

Emily is survived by her husband, Robert Voskoyan Jr.; her son, Grayson Voskoyan; and her parents, Alan and Ellen Glazman, all of Fredericksburg.

In addition, Emily is survived by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Angie Voskoyan; sister-in-law Kristy Voskoyan of Monroe, Mich.; her paternal aunt and uncle, Marsha and Jon Glazman of Greensboro, N.C.; cousins Hilary and John Rieck of Charleston, S.C.; and Chan and Leila Glazman of Athens, Ga. She is also survived by her maternal aunt and uncle, Linda Davis and Richard DeVries of Westport Island, Maine; cousins Britt Morris of Richmond, Maine, Sarah Morris of Seattle, Wash., and Susan Franck of Ashland.

Her family finds much solace in the love of these extended family members and in the heartfelt outpouring of love from a multitude of dear friends, who were Emily's chosen family.

Emily was employed at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, where she was a member of the Contracts Department. She joined the lab in 2001 after graduating from the University of Virginia and the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond; she later received a master's degree in contract management from the Naval Postgraduate School.

A service will be held at noon Thursday, June 5, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel, with interment to follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be made to organizations including the Stafford SPCA, 2101 Jefferson Davis Highway, 2nd Floor, Stafford, VA 22554; the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation at James River, Box 112, Crozier, VA 23039; and The Fairy Godmother Project, In Memory of Carter Wissner Harris, 49 Town and Country Drive, Fredericksburg, VA 22405.
