7th District primary is a referendum

This year, voters in Spotsylvania County are the most powerful voters in the country. Much is at stake on the national level, with Spotsylvania County voters siting in the driver's seat.

Congress will not vote for term limits, something that a vast majority of us would like to see. This year, Spotsylvania County voters have the power to term limit Eric Cantor, who is spending 100 percent of his campaign fund on lies about his opponent when he should be more focused on selling us on what he has done for us in his six terms--unless, of course, behind all of the sound bites and all of the rally cries, there is nothing but an empty resume and an empty suit.

This primary is a referendum on amnesty, Obamacare, corporate bailouts and debt increases.

Rep. Cantor says he is a fiscal conservative and he will fight to cut spending and reduce our national debt, but he has voted nine times to raise that debt, most recently voting to fully fund Obamacare.

This year, voters in Spotsylvania County have the power to say no to all of the above. In a race of David versus Goliath proportions, Spotsylvania County voters have the power to slay a dragon.

This year, I pray that you wield that power on June 10. Vote for Dave Brat and let the rest of the country know that Spotsylvania County is ground zero for the solutions that this country so desperately needs.
