This is in response to the June 1 editorial titled "Climate inaction."
Up until this point in my life, I have been a global warming (oops, sorry--climate change) denier. No more!
The editorial writer's reporting on the severe melting of Antarctic glaciers that scientists say is irreversible and will significantly raise sea levels over the next few centuries--sorry about adding those last five words--certainly is cause for concern that I will pass along to my great-great-great-great-great-grandchildren!
However, what really has convinced me of the error of my ways of not believing is that, and I quote: "This is settled science. Climate change, it is real. The science is true"--and that this has been reported by that paragon of the scientific community, by the very epitome of rational thought, by the very fair-minded, by the man whose every word should by heeded by all mankind--Mr. Shepard Smith! And not only that--he said it on Fox News. Unbelievable!
For anyone who doubts that I have taken all this knowledge on board, let me assure you, you found me out! I believe this just as much as I believe that the predicted ice age of the 1970s and 1980s occurred, apparently while I slept.
