Roganna Rollins

Roganna Marie Howard Rollins, 65, of Spotsylvania County was called home on Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Mary Washington Hospital.

She was born May 17, 1949, to the late Fannie Edna Howard of Spotsylvania.

Roganna was a member of Little Mine Road Baptist Church. She graduated from John J. Wright High School in 1967, and from Mary Washington College in 1977. She was a teacher for Spotsylvania County public schools for 32 years.

Roganna is survived by her husband, Clyde Eugene Rollins of Spotsylvania; daughter Amanda Rachelle Rollins of Spotsylvania; two brothers-in-law, Frank Rollins of Ohio and Arthur Smith of Fredericksburg; two sisters-in law, Virginia Rollins of Ohio and Roberta Rollins of Fredericksburg; a special aunt, Mary Cook of Fredericksburg; two first cousins, Howard Byrd of Louisiana and William Byrd of Washington, D.C.; many nieces, nephews and other relatives; longtime friend LaVerne Coleman; a special sisterly friend, Arlene Stanard; and a special niece, Lyndorah Ellis.

There will be a viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 13, at A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, at Little Mine Road Baptist Church, 7225 Lanes Corner Road, Spotsylvania.
