Additional survivors include her sisters, Sarah A. Smoot, Lois M. Short and Mary E. Early, all of Culpeper; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Elkins; brother, Benjamin R. Jenkins; and sisters, Virginia F. "Sis" Jenkins, Ruth E. Geil and Jessie G. Jarrell.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 29, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30, at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Sandy Martin officiating.
