Jane Alice J. Elkins

Jane Alice "Baby Jane" Jenkins Elkins, 70, of Fredericksburg went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at Mary Washington Hospital. She was born April 15, 1944, in Culpeper County to the late Lucy Kennedy Jenkins and James Benjamin Jenkins.

Jane loved her grandchildren, her daughters and all of her family tremendously. She was an avid Elvis fan, loved bluegrass music, animals of all kinds and professional wrestling. She always had a kind word for everyone she met and was always willing to help anyone in need. Her kind heart and feisty spirit was admired and loved by all who knew her.

She is survived by two daughters, Constance J. Enochs and her husband, Ronnie, of Knob Noster, Mo., and Cindy D. Elkins of Fredericksburg; and four grandchildren, William A. Skinner II, Brianna D. Skinner, Joseph A. Enochs and Samantha J. Enochs.

Additional survivors include her sisters, Sarah A. Smoot, Lois M. Short and Mary E. Early, all of Culpeper; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Elkins; brother, Benjamin R. Jenkins; and sisters, Virginia F. "Sis" Jenkins, Ruth E. Geil and Jessie G. Jarrell.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 29, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30, at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Sandy Martin officiating.

Interment will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060-9979.
