No humanitarian effort for the unborn?

No humanitarian effort for the unborn?

I read with interest Jim Reid's June 29 letter to the editor ["Abortion might cost everyone"], in which he states that an average of 850,000 abortions are performed annually.

At the same time, there are numerous recent articles that state we are allowing thousands of children to come across our Southern border with an effort to relocate them within our country.

Nancy Pelosi states that it is a humanitarian effort to take care of the influx of children from south of the border. Yet we allow our own children to be destroyed in the mother's womb.

I find this ironic and I have to ask: Why isn't it equally humanitarian to save our unborn?
