A 21st-century version of the Maginot Line?

A 21st-century version of the Maginot Line?

Apparently the bureaucrats who spent millions of dollars on the fence at the Arizona-Mexican border have never heard of the Maginot Line.

Built by the French in the 1930s to stymie a German invasion, it proved useless. The Germans did an "end run" around the Line, attacking France through neutral Belgium.

Now illegal immigrant children have adopted a similar strategy: Avoid Arizona and enter through fenceless Texas!

Rather than spend millions more on fences and border patrol, the government should fund private organizations that have the knowledge and organization to address immigration problems.

The United Nations Children's Fund, Save the Children and Doctors Without Borders are several examples of well-respected agencies.
