Don't like team name? Don't watch the games

When people objected to the lyrics of certain music and the graphic depictions of sex and violence on television and in the movies, we were told that the artists deserved to be able to express themselves and that if we didn't like the material, we could turn off the TV, not listen to the music and not watch the movie.

Now it seems that using the name Redskins is improper if not insulting and that the football team needs to change its name.

I respond by saying, if you don't like the name, don't go to the football game, don't watch it on television, don't buy the merchandise.

What ever happened to free speech? Why is our government involved in this issue?
