Local churches respond to Tech shootings
Religious community to help with healing.

Some Fredericksburg-area congregations are holding special services to help
the community cope with the mass shootings at Virginia Tech.

Wilderness church
Wilderness Community Church will devote much of its Soul Café service
Wednesday to prayers, readings and reflections in response to the shootings
and in support of those who are now dealing with the aftermath. Soul Café
begins at 7:30 p.m. at the church, located on 10501 Plank Road in
Spotsylvania County.
Thornburg Baptist
Thornburg Baptist Church will hold a community candlelight service tonight
Wednesday, April 18, at 7 p.m.
This service will remember those who have been affected by the tragedy
that happened at Virginia Tech. Everyone is invited to this time of prayer,
reflection and fellowship.
The church is located six miles south of Massaponax at 7221 Jefferson Davis
