Darrell Rice: Maryland resident pursued by federal authorities since July 1997; accused of 1996 Shenandoah National Park slayings and of being the 29 Stalker

Richard Marc Evonitz: serial killer linked after his suicide in 2002 to three Spotsylvania County slayings in 1996 and 1997

THE CASES

29 Stalker: A white man in a dark pickup flagged down dozens of women drivers, chiefly along U.S. 29 between Manassas and Charlottesville, at least from January to March 1996. He is believed to be responsible for the death of Alicia Showalter Reynolds.
Shenandoah: Campers Julie Williams and Lollie Winans were killed in Shenandoah National Park in May 1996.
Lisk–Silva: Sofia Silva and sisters Kristin Lisk and Kati Lisk were killed by Evonitz in 1996 and 1997.
