Route 3 bank robbed this morning
Police investigating bank robbery at Virginia Partners Bank on Route 3.

Police are investigating a robbery at Virginia Partners Bank at 1201 Plank Road this morning.
At 9:55 a.m., a masked man carrying a handgun entered the bank and ordered three employees to the floor, according to a press release from the Fredericksburg Police Dept.
The man then jumped over the counter and forced a teller to open the cash drawer, then placed the cash in a bag and ran from the building, police said.
The suspect is described as a black male of unknown age, approximately 6’2” and 200 pounds. He
was wearing a long-sleeved pullover shirt in a yellow and grey large plaid pattern. He also had a
black ballcap on his head and a mask or scarf covering his face.
