Two young men, one armed with a gun, held up a Stafford drugstore last night, police said.
One suspect entered a Rite Aid at 1095 International Parkway at 9:10 p.m. and posed as a customer. The second suspect then walked in the store, flashed a handgun and demanded money from the clerk.
The two suspects then fled on foot. Police say a dark-colored pickup was seen leaving the area.
Authorities say the Stafford holdup was similar to another robbery reported in Fauquier earlier last night, and descriptions of the suspects in that incident match those in the Stafford robbery.
Police describe the first suspect as a white male, 16 to 21 years old, 5'6" to 5'8". He wore a black hooded sweat shirt, a black cap, blue jeans, a white shirt and black tennis shoes. He had a pale complexion.
The second suspect is described as a white male, 16 to 21. He wore a black ski mask with holes cut out around his eyes, nose and mouth. He was 5'11" to 6'0" and wore an "Element" black hooded sweat shirt, white tennis shoes and a baseball cap with a green skull-type demon on the front. He held the gun in his left hand.
Anyone with information on either holdup is asked to call the Stafford Sheriff's Office at 658-4400.
