Weekly Challenge topics differ every week, and it's always free to enter (please enter just once per week). You get a point toward the 2008 standings for every contest you do, and additional points for finishing in the Top 20. People who correctly answer the bonus question in each Friday's Free Lance-Star Life section will get another point. Click here to read the contest rules.

This week's Weekly Challenge is on the Marine Corps Historic Half, a 13.1-mile run around Fredericksburg that starts at 7 a.m. May 18 near the Fredericksburg Expo and Conference Center on Carl D. Silver Parkway. More than 5,000 runners are expected, and additional people will do the two-mile Semper Fred Fun Run. There will be music and entertainment all along the course. The charity partners for the event are the Organization for Autism Research and the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund.

To familiarize you with the course and get some predictions about the race, we've come up with the following quiz.

This week we have prizes for the Top Five finishers:
  • A $30 gift certificate from Marquee Cinemas in Spotsylvania for movie tickets and snacks, courtesy of Germanna Community College.
  • A Marine Corps Historic Half training shirt and training hat.
  • A Marine Corps Historic Half training shirt and training hat.
