Inc. Magazine’s annual ranking of the fastest-growing private companies includes 13 local businesses.

The Inc. 5000 ranks companies based on revenue growth over the last three years. Companies submit their own paperwork, which is vetted by the magazine, and pay a fee to be considered.

  • No. 128 on the list is Stafford-based government services company X Corp Solutions, which reported 3,125.96 percent growth over three years and $13.3 million in revenue for 2016.
  • Coming in at No. 898, Fredericksburg-based software company IST Research experienced 493.41 percent growth in three years and had $7.8 million in revenue for 2016.
  • No. 1,066 on the list is Fredericksburg-based government services company ATSI with 396.42 percent growth over three years and $11.7 million in 2016 revenue.
  • At No. 1,438 is Stafford-based government services company Darkblade Systems, which grew 282.16 percent over the last three years and had $4.7 million in revenue in 2016.
  • No. 1,499 on the list is Stafford-based government contractor Corps Solutions with 272.02 percent growth over three years and $30.5 million in revenue last year.
  • At No. 1,642 is Fredericksburg-based government services firm IntelliWare, which experienced three-year growth of 238.28 percent and took in $27 million last year.
  • At No. 1,786 is Stafford-based government contractor Davis Defense Group with 216.97 percent three-year growth and $36.3 million in revenue last year.
  • At No. 2,219 is Fredericksburg-based document conversation company ILM Corporation of Virginia. ILM experienced 164.35 percent growth in the last three years and took in $5.3 million last year.
  • No. 2,834 on the list is Fredericksburg-based security firm RPI Group, which reported three-year growth of 120.27 percent and $5.6 million in 2016 revenue.
  • No. 3,535 is Stafford-based IT services company Oxley Enterprises, which reported 87.35 percent three-year growth and $3.2 million in revenue for 2016.
  • No. 3,669 is Kilmarnock-based government services firm Marathon TS, which reported 82.61 percent three-year-growth and $12.8 million for 2016 revenue.
  • At No. 3,771 on the list is Stafford-based government contractor The Bowen Consulting Group with 78.26 percent growth and $12.9 million in 2016 revenue.
  • Coming in at No. 4,077 is manufacturer Patriot Aluminum Products of Louisa, with 67.95 percent three-year growth and $17.7 million in revenue last year.
