Only $5 for 5 months

Staff report

A 29-year-old Caroline man was killed early Monday in a single-vehicle crash in the county, state police said.

Virginia State Police spokeswoman Corrine Geller said the crash occurred at 6:30 a.m. in the 2600 block of Ruther Glen Road.

According to Geller, Nathaniel Lawhorn was heading north in a Nissan Versa when he ran off the road and struck a tree. The car then caught on fire.

The crash is being investigated by Trooper M. Walker.
