Elizabeth Csemy Berta, 95, of Locust Grove passed away at her home on Friday, May 22, 2015.
Elizabeth was born in Tata, Hungary on Aug. 24, 1919, to Arpad and Teresa (Kinhefner) Csemy. She married Michael Molnar Berta on Oct. 21, 1938, in Hungary and they had three daughters. They escaped in 1956 to the United States. Elizabeth worked as an electronic assembler for Pulse Electronics.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Csemy and Elizabeth Nemeth; grandsons Bryan (Emily) Capelli and Robert DeMitry; granddaughters Christine (Bruce) Courtney and Elizabeth (Matt) O’Donnell; great-grandchildren Courtney, Robert Jr. and Connor Nave, and Kathleen O’Donnell, Carter and Sophie Capelli. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Michael and daughter Agatha Breitling.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, Spotsylvania, with a Rosary at 7:15 p.m. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with interment to follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Park.
